Piano Lessons
Tessitura Music offers beginner and intermediate piano lessons for students ages 5 and older. We love to see younger students take lessons because we know that children who start piano lessons early will gain a powerful advantage in academics and their personal growth. It also helps each student gain confidence by performing in front of others while harnessing in on their love of music.
At Tessitura, we use the Nancy Faber Piano Book Series. Students are required to purchase their own lesson book.
Lessons are taught by Megan Schulte, Julia Towell and Breena Davis. Each of these instructors are experienced musicians and are excited to teach your child the art of playing piano.

Spring Recital, May 3rd
$25 for a 30-minute lesson
8 or 10 Week Summer Sessions will begin in June and sign ups are coming soon.

What age should my child begin playing piano?

We believe starting as early at age 5! We want to ensure the success of each of our students, so we tailor lessons to each child’s level and attention span.

Having your own piano at home is more conducive for practicing consistently. If you need recommendations on what to purchase for you home, please let us know.
How long before I, or my child, will start to see progress?

We definitely say within the first few weeks! Progression will depend on consistent practicing and lesson attendance. Each student’s growth will be different.
Will my student participate in recitals?

Yes! Piano recitals are essential for building confidence for your student by performing in front of others. Additionally. we want you and your family members to hear how well your child is progressing. Recitals are always at the end of lesson sessions.
