“Listen up and let me tell you a story!”

Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. From Tudor Queens to Pop Icons, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a Euphoric Celebration of 21st-century girl power! This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over. https://www.concordtheatricals.com/p/93929/six-teen-edition

SIX: The Musical Teen Edition begins as a contest between the Six Wives of King Henry the VIII to prove who has had the hardest life in marriage. The competition is halted as the Six Wives realize that they are better than that and agree not to compare themselves to each other. They believe they are women with their own unique qualities and successes and should not be defined only by their relationship with a man. Written by Lucy Moss and Toby Marlow, Six presents the message of female empowerment. The hard realities of women of the time are acknowledged by addressing sensitive subjects.

As a musical, SIX: The Musical Teen Edition is upbeat and fun. It’s full of bright lights, catchy songs, and confetti. Each wife is portrayed in a unique and special way. While expressing each wife in an upbeat and fun way, this musical also leaves room for the distressing reality of the women, tackling heavy subjects with sensitivity. No other Broadway Musical has retold the history of women in this way, creating a high standard for future feminist historical musicals.
